1. General
1.1 It is the city’s policy to carry out its activities in a manner consistent with sound environmental practices, energy efficiency and waste minimization, and to comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
1.2 City directors, managers and supervisors are responsible for establishing programs to implement this sustainability policy at their respective locations.
1.3 The Sustainability Department will provide guidance and support to ensure that continual improvements are made in environmental management.
1.4 This policy contemplates compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, which will pre-empt any requirements stated herein.
