ADMINISTRATIVE CONSIDERATION OF

PLAT AMENDMENTS, MINOR SUBDIVISIONS

AND CONDOMINIUM CONVERSIONS

Doug Wheelwright was the hearing officer for all of the items.

 

Present from the Planning Staff were Doug Wheelwright, Greg Mikolash and Jackie Gasparik.

 

1.  OLIVER MINOR SUBDIVISION, located at approximately 631 and 633 North West Capitol.  Mr. Oliver is requesting approval of a two-lot (.l99 acre) residential subdivision, the property is zoned SR-1.

 

The petitioner was not present for the hearing.  No one was present from the public.

 

Jackie Gasparik presented the staff report outlining the major issues of the case and went through the departmental comments of which is filed with the minutes.

 

There were no objections.  The item was approved with conditions.

 

Conditions of Approval:

1.    Departmental requirements

2.    The applicant needs to work out sewer and storm drainage requirements with Salt Lake City Public Utilities

 

2.  AMENDMENT OF LOTS 6-8 AND ½ OF LOT 9 WEST DRIVE SUBDIVISION, by Shaw Homes requested approval of a two-lot residential subdivision (.281 acre).  The property is located at approximately 131 West Mead Avenue (980 South) and is zoned RMF-35.

 

James Shaw, petitioner, was present for the hearing.  Bonnie Bettinson was present from the public.

There were no objections from the public.  The item was approved with conditions.

 

Conditions of Approval:

1.    Departmental requirements.

2.    Garage on proposed Lot 2 must comply with all zoning and building code regulations.

 

3.  KURZ MINOR SUBDIVISION, located at approximately 1025 and 1029 Kensington Avenue.  Approval to separate two existing homes on the same lot into two separate lots, one lot for each existing home (two-lot minor subdivision .19 acre) the property is zoned R-1-5,000.

 

Dave Kurz, petitioner, was present for the hearing.  Marcia McDomb, Jeanne Isakson, Mr. Isakson and Verla Thomas were present from the public.

There were concerns from the public who attended the meeting.  The objections were not in regard to the legality of the subdivision.   The item was approved with conditions.

2.    A 6’ privacy fence is built between the adjacent garages at the north property line.
