A. Decisions, Feedback & Information needed by staff
1. Council Members have received notice and are invited to attend the Downtown Achievement Awards Luncheon on April 29, at the Salt Palace, Room 150. The Salt Lake City Council has been named as one of the recipients of the 2003 Award in the category of Advocacy. Please Note: A complimentary ticket will be provided for each Council Member if desired. Additional tickets are $25 each. Dave, Carlton and Cathy and Russell have accepted so far. If anyone else is planning on attending please RSVP to Mary by April 26 (Alison Sheffield 333-1105).

2. The Salt Lake Valley Health Department has sent a letter asking the Council to encourage the County Council to reject the proposal to bring the issue of fluoridation back before the Citizens. Does the Council wish to send such a letter or resolution to the County Council? Yes, Council Members were in favor of having staff draft a joint letter with the Mayor. (This item was discussed during the Public Utilities briefing.)
